Sidi Fit Question(6 posts)

Sidi Fit Questionhawker12

I'm thinking of buying a pair of Sidi Genius or Energy shoes off of Ebay or mail order. Can anyone tell me how they generally run size wise? Maybe compared to Shimano or Carnac? I typically wear a 40-41.
Thanks,
Steve

Try a pair in your LBS, they seem to be spot on. I wear a 43.5 and a 43.5 fits fine, unless you got wide feet then get the mega size.

My experience has been that Sidi runs pretty close to what size you expect to wear. DMT, on the other hand, runs a bit small, so I go 1/2 size up.

I have the G3 and just bought a new pair of the Ergo carbon. I wear a 45 and think they are right on in terms of sizing.

I've found the Sidi fit to be consistent with Shimano, but about one size smaller than the Carnacs I've tried. I've worn size 45 Shimano (mtb shoes) and currently wear a 45 in both Sidi road & mtb shoes. I've never owned Carnacs since they are too wide for my forefoot, but when I tried them on in a shop, the length of a Carnac size 44 was comparable to a Sidi 45.

There pretty straight forward if your wearing a even size. The fitting gets kinda weird when you get in to the half sizes and there lack of comparison to US sizing. best bet is trying the shoes on before you buy. It also helped me a bunch to use a superfeet insole to get the good fit.
