Horner and Pate back together again?

(FYI - Saturn and Prime Alliance droped their cycling teams)

Well I don't know who are going to be on the teams but I just heard from the owner of Prime Alliance that they are creating a new team from the ashes of Saturn and Prime Alliance. They are not sure what the name is going to be yet or even who the rides are going to be, but the hopes are for the best of both teams to come toegther. The owner of Prime Alliance said he will be still be very involved with the team on a managment level, but it is all alittle tenative at this time.

I asked a few other questions, but it is a little too soon, they don't even know the answers.

Just think a little....Horner, Dominguez, Mccormack, Pate, Carney, Clinger, Rapinski, Vaughters.

Horner, Dominguez, Mccormack, Pate, Carney, Clinger, Rapinski, Vaughters WOULD be a killer team!! The only name I'm unfamiliar with is Carney. Former Prime Alliance rider?

Carney, undisputed crit king. And hello! He lives in Milwaukee! :)

The merging is a fine idea, but I had heard a rumor of an anouncement from PA and was hoping for more than just word of the two organizations merging.

The bottom line is they still need sponsors.

He only lives in WI in the summer....TFerguson

He has to be one the top 3 sprinters racing domestic. He did very well this year and usually was without the team. We had him talk at a club meating last spring and he said this was his last year racing. Maybe his success this year (and a good offer) will change his mind.

How's the coaching going? I just can't swing the funds.

Great. Who are these guys going to race AGAINST??Spunout

All of the most desireable pros will take a pay cut to race on the super-team, leaving many more out of jobs. What about competition? Could mean for a relatively boring(if successful) campaign.
I was thinking the same thing.No_sprint

2003 was almost boring with Saturn's dominance as it was.

We'll see how things shake down. I see lots more guys going to regionally based pro squads, large pay cuts, no salaries, etc.
