Why Lance will not wear a tie?....Bruno S

This is my "Get a life" post of the day. Really, don't you think he should follow etiquette and dress according to the occasion. If he wants to score someone better than Sandra Bullock he will have to change his attitude.

You guys are tough. Lance is a great Tour rider, but he ain't no picnic as a person on whom someone would want to rely for a personal life, from everything that I've read/heard/whatever. And you're dissing Sandra Bullock? I'm flabbergasted. She's the one who we should be protecting, here.
READ THE BOOK, SANDRA. READ BETWEEN THE LINES. GOOD PUBLIC PERSONA (finally), LOUSY PRIVATE ONE. KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GETTING YOURSELF INTO.
This girl defines what is "hot" for anyone who cycles...Bruno S

Sandra is great but he is just fresh out of a divorce and starting to explore the waters. Let him have some fun, I propose:

Niki Gudex. Downhill national champion, model, artist and only 24...

I was thinking the same thing myself. she's probably a rebound girlfriend and it's going to go to crap. of course, I recently got dumped myself, and my ex is seeing someone else, so I may be biased.
geez, guy, you've had a tough summer. How's the c-bone?nmbill

I can almost sleep on my left side now. I can't lift heavy weights yet, but I'm hitting the weight room soon. I'm pretty burned out. I'm having a mid life crisis at an early age. I'm rediscovering the meaning of life. cycling is not going to be as central to life as it once was. I will make no apologies. but when I ride, I will ride my ass off.
howzabout that? cycling IS my midlife crisis. interesting.bill

but, glad to hear that things are looking up.
That's right, Sandra, you'd be much happier with Bill. nmdzrider

ties are the most ugly, useless clothing accessory ever made. they're just a modified bib and look as silly or even more silly then a bib you'ld get while eating lobster. it's hard to take anyone seriously when they're wearing one of those things.

i used to have some of those things till i couldn't stand it no longer. now i'm tie free and plan to stay that way.

I wouldn't really care if anyone thought i should wear a tie. if lance hates ties, then why should he wear one? ties are the one of the most absurd traditions men cling to, and i've never quite figured out why.

No one posting in this thread seems to be aware that the tie is a well-known phallic symbol... maybe Lance doesn't think he needs one of those.
