Just placed my order for a new 2004 Cannondale R3000, Jet Black (matte). Really excited about getting it... if in stock, I should have it within the next week. Otherwise, around Thanksgiving.

One question that I haven't found an answer to yet... anyone know when Shimano will release a Dura-Ace 10-speed-compatable Flight Deck?

Here's to hoping they add some new features... altimeter, perhaps? Built-in heart monitor?

in spite of the crappy pic on the c'dale site.

Just curious about how much the bike weighs...c'dale claims it's the lightest frame, period...but i didn't see any #s

Let see some pics when you get it! Good luck!!

That's why I went for the black instead of the blue gloss. I'm also not a huge fan of high-gloss bikes like that...

Anyway, Cannondale says the R3000 complete bike weighs 15.5 lbs. Add Dura-Ace pedals at 281 grams (.619 lbs.) and you've got a bike that weights JUST over 16 lbs. Not bad (especially for the price).

Real excited about the Dura-Ace and Ksyrium wheels...

I'd say it's probably a good year to buy a DA equipped bike, since you'll be getting new, redesigned, '04 DA. I also like the matte black but also like the blue. I'd probably have hard time deciding on which color to get but the black is actually lighter, right? (since it is anodized rather than painted). What does the complete bike go for now, $3K or more?

Thanks, and definitely post some pics when you get it! =)
