Racing, Headache, Dehydration, and Tylenolsuperdreadnought

I woke up the other day with a mild headache. I think most likely from mild dehydration since I had a dry mouth. I did not take anything until after the race to get rid of the headache. I did drink a ton of water on the way to the race, it seemed to help, and then after the event the headache came back. I took one 500 mg Tylenol, after the race, to get rid of the headache, that worked. I am wondering if something like Tylenol would reduce blood flow or something bad during a race.

My sinuses were and still are normal/fine. I do not thing I was tense, racing is now a standard activity. I did not eat anything out of the ordinary the night before.

Is it all right to take something like Tylenol the morning of a race to get rid of a headache without fear of hurting some part of the body (breathing, blood flow, liver, kidneys, items that is pushed hard during hard physical competition, etc)?
