|Same place I have bought three bikes at a lost or unclaimed freight liquidator, two of which I sold... one of which is my lovely steed of choice (the LOOK381). Anyway, there is one I dont really know much about and was wondering if you think it is a good investment deal (where I could sell as whole for more, or part out for more). Can I make money on this?

|Bet you could make $100 on it-easily.|

|I did a quick scan of some newspaper classified ads the other day, and at least around here, that's only an average price. Road bikes still seem to depreciate pretty quickly (might be different in your city, though). I'd buy it at that price in a second to ride, but I dunno if I'd plan to make money on it.|

|well, I have enough bikes and doubt I would go through the trouble for $100. Not that that is anything to shake a stick at, but I despise shipping bikes. I've heard what I needed, thanks guys.
Thought about parting out, but still wouldn't make a whole lot.

|They sell a lot of Iron horse frames and bikes on ebay. Check the prices there.
The bike complete New could get a good return on ebay if it is truely New.
If it is used, I don't know. Since the Iron Horse sells cheap on ebay new I doubt they will get much in used condition.
You can sell the parts and make more but then there is a lot more work involved selling and shipping dozens of seperate items over one single item.

|still has reflectors and TOECLIP pedals... ACK.
Yah, I think Im gonna pass. Unless I could sell cheap and then soak people on the shipping... NOT. I've been hosed far to many times on that. Nah, I think the margin would be too low. The Lemond Buenos Aires was nice, got it new with all documentation with full Ultegra for $450, sold it for $900. This place rocks. If you are in CA, look for a place called Cargo Largo, they will get bikes from time to time. One guy on my team got the new Trek team TT bike, the same week as the TDF for about $2000 there. Ive bought trainers, wheels, and videos there as well, just have to keep your eyes peeled.
