Anyone else notice that Millar seemed to be running a full carbon tubular Hed 3? The spoke and hub shapes look distinctly like the Hed 3, but with a carbon braking surface.

Cool - I don't see much reason for it - the aluminum rims can't add much to the wind resistance and with HED's weight isn't a concern. Hed 3's are bomb proof so I can't really imagine that rim separation is an issue like it is with Zipps.

Well even though weight isn't that great of a factor in a TT, that doesn't mean it's not a factor. Any weight reduction is welcome.
