| Who rents out mid to high-end road bikes in So Cal for a day | hiFi4life Oct 20, 2003 1:03 PM | | I wanted to know if there is any bicycle shops in southern California that rent out mid to high-end road bikes for a day or two. The make does not matter but I would prefer to try a titanium or carbon frame. I want to rent a road bike to see if I want to get back into it, or just stick to mountain biking. Thanks for any help, i'm located in Irvine. |

| I'll 2nd Nytro in Encinitas | Dream plus Oct 21, 2003 8:04 AM | | I rented a nice aluminum Felt 105 equipped road bike while in San Diego on vacation. I got two rides in over the 24 hr period. I brought my own pedals and helmet. Nytro supplied a CO2 cartridge inflator, spare and patch kit. Seemed like nice guys and had a good inventory of demo/rentals.
As a bonus, I got to ride with Team Balance Bar and Ned Overend who was spinning up Torrey Pines at an incredible rate! Addy and Harald from Team Balance Bar showed me a nice bikepath along the River near Oceanside, and Ned was on his way back to his hotel, in town for the Muddy Buddy race. |

I am not sure if they rent bikes per sey, but i know that they will let you demo bikes. THey have locations in Costa Mesa, Corona Del Mar, Mission Viejo and San Juan Capistrano. |
