Savage Century reports?ms

If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, then I am destined for the flames. I had wanted to do the Savage, notwithstanding a lot of reasons why I should not do it. On Friday evening, I decided that it was doing it. I packed the car, did my usual preparations (e.g., made sure all of my clothes and equipment were where I could find them at 5:30 a.m.). On Saturday morning, I got out of bed when the first alarm rang, got ready, drove away from home and then, 5 miles into the trip, my car began to stall on the Baltimore Beltway. I had taken the car to the shop last week because of the stalling problem, and after a few hundred dollars in repairs, the repair guys said that they really could not figure out what was wrong, but that they had checked and fixed some things that could be causing the problem. They were wrong. Well, I decided not to risk the trip to Delaware and turned around. It was a good thing; the car barely made it home. I was not a happy camper -- Saturday was a great day and I think that the Savage was just what I needed (I have a project at the office that is driving me crazy). I did a ride on Saturday, but it wasn't the same. So, who did the Savage and how was it? Make me green with envy.
