Does anyone have an opinion on the new trek 2300. Carbon seat stays.

I think its sweet! Carbn stays I think make sense since they help comfort the ride a bike and increase stiffness as well as lighten the load. I didnt trust them years ago on bikes that had ti/carbon or Al/carbon combo since I think they really didnt do a good job gluing/forming or however they might bond the two materials together. But now they do a supurb job..alot of ti/carbon bikes are made these days with very high quality carbon and Ti.
Its unusual to find a aluminum/carbon combo of high quality since most aluminum manufactures are unfamiliar with the process.
But Trek did it years ago with carbon tubes on the 2300 instead of seat stayes and they did it with their Mtn bikes as well. So given that they are an experienced manufactuer and use good carbon and aluminum I think its a good bike and reasonably priced

plus the famous trek lifetime warranty means no worries about the bond. I think the new frame is quite nice.
