I try to stay away from the odd races.... Very bad luck. I only do the even races.

Materials??? Personal preference, dude.... ride feel, aesthetics, brand preferences all come into play. Hell, even country of origin is important to some. There's good frame designs in all materials. To each his own.

I've got frames made of aluminum, steel, titanium and now carbon fiber.... I honestly love 'em all. Sometimes the stiffness of the aluminum frame just makes it feel like instant acceleration - and the carbon fiber bike feels smooth as buttah and rails a line like honey on your tongue.... (don't know where that came from. At least it's not an X-rated description).

Yup.... That right there is the best frame material. Hands down (no pun intended....) - Forget the aluminum, carbon fiber, magnesium blah blah blah..... :>)
