|Any feedback yet on Lance's book? (spoilers)||stan_b|

|Overall I thought it was pretty good. It would of been hard to match the first one. I wasn't as familiar with his 2-4 Tour wins so it was interesting to get his perspective on those.
I thought he whined a bit too much throughout. He should be eternally grateful for not only surviving cancer but for having so much professional success.
I could feel for him as he described the doping investigation. That must have been extremely frustrating and I think it is to his credit that he still has made attempts to like the French after all he went through.
He really held back in providing any details as far as why his relationship with Kik went downhill. I can certainly understand this but at the same time he is the one who wanted to write this book about himself and it would have been nicer if he was a bit more candid. Of course, the divorce hadn't happened yet so he may have held back more than if that had already occurred.
The last chapter about his fifth win was pretty much a summary of what we already knew but it provided some further background into why he felt he had such a hard race. He really came down on Ulrich about not waiting. It was virtually silent about his further attempts at reconciliation and said nothing about the divorce.
I'd give it 3 stars out of 5.

|Half way through it. I felt his perspective on the doping was well done. Based on some of the things he was forthcoming about in his personal life, you can see where she was growing frustrated. He is very driven and his "failures" or perceived failures just don't sit well with him. I don't doubt that one of the reasons why they are getting divorced was that their personal life was made very public. Therefore, I think adding more about that into the book would have been adding fuel to the fire.|

|Haven't read it yet, but I did get my copy signed by Lance, himself, last night at Book People in Austin, TX! It was kind of a fly-by book signing, so we naturally didn't get to chat, but he certainly looked good and very relaxed. He was dressed exactly like he was in the post-tour interview on OLN with Ligget and Sherwin, right down to the funky sandals.|

|I bought both lances and bobs book but am reading bobs first. I read the first half this morning before heading to the lab so I will finish it tonight then start lances.
An bobke II is funny! As well as hard to put down!
