Leader Bike's service(3 posts)

Leader Bike's servicebiketillyapuke

I was looking for a new bike and I decided to contact leaderbike and check out their stuff. I asked them if they were reducing thier prices for fall on their 1850 bike. They shot back a snotty e-mail which read "1850 and you want a discount. I dare you to find a better deal." To make a long and stupidly rude story short I instead went to my LBS and got a great deal on a litespeed along with lifetime service. My question "Is leader bike doing so well that they can throw away potential customers like this?"

We now know that kneebreaker is a shill for leaderbike. My point has nothing to do with value, it is service. You politely decline if asked by a customer for a discount. As far as the cheapest Dura Ace I could get a Motobecane for 1350 if I wanted. When you calculate hidden costs such as shiping, assembly, etc it is definitely a stretch to go with Leader. From the experience I had with their rep, your better off with an LBS, mine offers free lifetime servicing, you can't get that over the internet.
