I grew up with dirt bikes. My Dad, my brother and I all converted to bicycles during the bike boom and there are no motorcycles left in the family now. My bro had some classics (Ducati and a Norton) but sold those a few years ago to make room for a 55 Ford pickup.

I sprint race a Cannondale motard racebike (looks better than she runs I'm sorry to say) , I also team endurance race an SV650 in the CCS/CMRA and ride a RC51 on the street and track.

Racing the SV and C'dale is outta control fun.

Motorcycles ask the question, if you could go any speed how fast would you go?

DUMB decision by the leadership at C'dale. In business, there are consequences for dumb decisions and Scott Montgomery now knows that as he just got his walking papers. Guess daddy couldn't save him.

6 months ago I purchased a Honda CBR250RR sports bike, otherwise known as the "babyblade". Here in Australia, they are absolutely legendary learner-legal bikes. But I intend to keep it for as long as possible.

Basically its a 4 stroke 4 cylinder DOHC engine that revs to
b 19,000rpm
. Sounds like an F1 car. Awesome. :-)

also various Suzuki, Yamaha, and Honda motocrossers, all during the '70s...

Currently looking for a cheap 250 mx'r that needs tlc. And saving for a BSA 440 Victor, just for breakin' an ankle...

2000 Harley Davidson FXST. Lots of chrome, custom wheels, big bore kit 1550 cc, cams, intake kit, ignition kit, heads, Mikuni carb and Python pipes. 700 lb machine that will wheelie and do a very mean burn out.

Fast is fun, but fast with your knee down is truely a rush.

Garage full of Duc's.

Had many Honda motoX bikes from age 10-18, then a Honda Nighthawk from age 24-25 (when a car hit me), then a Honda CBR600 F2 sport bike from 25-30, then a Ducati 916 from 30 until present (33). I used to race a Kawasaki EX500 in the Southeast region of WERA.

Have you put the 916 on the track?? Southeast...seen to Barber's new track yet?

No, I had the CBR600 and of course the EX500 on the track, but not the 916. I have been wanting to do a track day though because I miss being on the track. I haven't been to Barber yet either, but it sure looks like a nice track on TV. I want to go there and see the museum too.

I did a track day there last spring with BCM Ducati out of New Hampshire. The track is incredible! Super fast, super wide, the surface was perfect at the time. I ride a modified 916sps on the track. There are many locations where you are fully pinned, knee down on a big wide turn between corners. The track isn't flat anywhere! Fantastic. The new museum wasn't open at the time, but I did see the collection at the old location downtown two years ago. Go if you can!

I love riding a track with elevation change like Barber. I would love to get on that track sometime. The Talladega track has no elevation change at all. I found it to be a little on the boring side. I am excited about the possibility of a GP race @ Barber in '05.

In September I bought a 1982 Honda 750 Nighthawk. What fun! If I had known how much fun these things were, I would have bought one a long time ago.

I really want a Honda CBR900 or something similar, but I can't afford one at the moment and my girlfriend and parents would probably die of worry if I got one! We''ll see!

Dad used to put me on a cushman and run beside me until I had enough speed to maintain balance. Various bikes since then, but currently just this one (73 ironhead) -- anybody want to swap a monster 900 or speed triple for an old hd? Got this bike for free after it set in a barn for 16 years. Took a lot of garage time and beer to get it to this condition.

But I do put more miles/year on my road bike than my motorcycle.
