|Why did they have to do this: http://www.lookcycle.com/v2/anglais/catalogue/2003/cadre_kg481.php
Anyone want a 2003 Look KG 381i cheap? It's the black/black color.

|How much do you want for the bike/frame? What city are you in.
Btw, the 481SL is nice, but all you really get over the 381i is a couple hundred grams of weight savings. Not all that much really.

|I'd just be selling the frame/fork/headset. I'll have to wait and see how much I can get the new one for, but I'm estimating somewhere in the range of $1300-$1400. If anyone's intrested, just email me!

|Now you've done it. Anyone want a KG 361 cheap? 57cm? I hate those people at Look.|
|Is it Jalabert's fault?||orange_julius|

|He joins the company and they renumber most of their |
frames? Looks like the only difference between the
KG361 and the KG451 is that the KG451 uses the HSC3
fork. I think I'll hold on to my KG361.

|It is a very screwy system- about a year ago they were still on the 281... then they change the lugs slightly and the headset and it is the 381i...
It is a very strange marketing ploy since it does make the older model number appear to be "more obsolete," and it is a "huge" incremental jump (rather than going 281, 282, 283). Also Trek has been making modifications of their 5200 frame for years, but keeping the name the same. It just somehow sounds better to own a 2000 5200 rather than a Look 181.
I can't help but wonder if Look's marketing adversely affects resale value.
