"J" waits all month just to post the "Monthly Mileage Poll". When he sees you stepping on his toes, he's gonna be pissed.

For penance you are required to write 10 Haikus, ride one brevet, and buy a Brooks saddle.

I only did 1,363.54 miles. I know it's not much, but the prosthetic leg I was fitted with was chafing, and the busted ankle on my other 'real' leg started acting up right after the appendectomy I had Sept 10. Plus both my parents died, and I was off two days for funerals.

Looking forward to a better October!

Don't know about YTD 'cause I rode w/o a computer for a while.

I lost a normal Sunday and two Friday rides this month which would usually add up to about 175 miles or so. Will I make my 4000 mile goal?? I've got a 75 miler this weekend, 75 next Friday and a century Oct 25th...its' gonna be close!
Severely lacking compared to last month ~300 andJL

not sure about the YTD. I'm not at home so I can't check, but it's around 2600+? I think :(.

Hopefully October will be a little better. Especially on the weekends.

I'm ahead of this time last year. Sept. wasn't a high milage month because I took a week off to transition to cyclocross training and promptly got sick for two weeks after that.

... the first week was awesome. Sept 1 I got in a quick 90 miles to make up for missing almost all of August. Commuted a little that week, then did the 185-mile TDCanal the following weekend. It was almost a 300-mile week!

Then I spent the next two weeks trying to find time to rebuild a wheel on the Paramount and replace the BB on the cruiser, and got totally skunked.

Then I got the 'Mount rolling, did a few commutes to limber up, and did 101 miles on it in the NSA-OCE last weekend.

All told, slightly over 400 miles, and I never shifted, even once, and didn't coast for about the last 130 or so. I wish I could do that EVERY month.

My workplace is in the middle of this big project that started towards the end of July.

Everyone was required to work weekends. Grumble.

Everyone had to forgo vacations so the project could happen.
Double grumble.

I went from 364 miles in July to 230 miles in August
to 212 miles in September. Sucks!

My formerly primo weekend riding time is eaten up by
work stuff. It also shows that my longest rides were
happening on weekends.

Thank God it ends the weekend after next.

I'm going to get a century in this year if I have to do it
on a trainer in a blizzard!

Grumble.

I'm still on track for my goal of 2000 miles though.

It's my first month cycling. My cheap computer tends to reset, so I don't know exactly what the mileage is. Probably between 200 and 220.
