Going on bike holiday near Sacramento & Chico anybody...rwbadley

like to ride a bit around Dobbins? or know any good rides in that area?

Right between Chico, Sac, Downieville and Auburn.

We're attending a beer conference there and figured to get some good riding in...

It's got a good park for mountain biking and lots of flat country roads cutting through beautifully manicured almond orchards for road biking. I think almond harvest is around now BTW. A nice ride is to take Honey Run road up one of the foothill canyons into Paradise, and then descend back down to Chico on one of the other roads down. Matter of fact I'm going to do that run this Sunday - I'll be your guide in exchange for some of that good beer you'll be drinking.

you have to help us sample the beer on Saturday at the Dobbins campground. That way we'll both be under the same handicap!

That route is pretty, I've done it a couple times with the Wildflower.
