I have an idle road frame I would like to build up as a cross bike. What options do I have for the rear wheel? I am wondering how I can overcome the brake mount. Please share any experiences you may have or trouble I can anticipate.

Thanks,
ShAk
check tire clearance first and foremost. nmSteve_0

If you wanna spend the $$, have a pair of bosses brazed on. If not, then you can stil probably run 28c knobbies w/o a problem, but as said above, check clearances first.

If you live somewhere muddy switch out your fork to a 'cross model to get the cantis + clearance in the front.

Use a little higher rise stem, reverse your brake levers, and go flog yourself!
