Trek OCLV 5020 - Anyone familiar with this frame ?scopestuff2

I believe that this frame preceeds the 5200 by a few years. I anyone familiar with it ? The only thing I can find through online searches is a listing in RBR products with zero reviews.

With such little information I'm wondering if it's a safe frame. Whether true or not, I'm not certain. But, I've read that the early OCLV's had a tendency toward catastrophic failures.

Thank you in advance from any of you with knowlege of this frame.

It wsa released in 1998-1999. The 5500 had Dura Ace. the 5200 had Ultegra. The 5020 had 105 and Ultegra. Same frame lesser components and a different color. It was the cheap OCLV to buy but more then adequate for weekend warriors or kids in school with a budget

The 5000 was the same frame as the 5200/5500 but equiped with a 105 double. A 5020 was equiped with a 105 triple. My wife had a 5220, Ultegra triple.
My 1998 5500 has about 12,000 miles with no frame problems.
The older frames had the rear brake cable running down the upper left side of the top tube, some of those had cracks in the chain stay/bottom bracket area. But many are still on the road with no problems.
