Trixie wanted to try out her new Klein Aura "V" road bike. With both of us being new to road riding I wanted to make sure that traffic was not a factor effecting her enjoyment of the experience. She needed a little time to get familiar with riding position, shifting / braking and the like. There are several areas around that would fit this requirement. I had remembered that about 20 years ago I had done a ride down Old Mine Road, the last exit in NJ off I-80 and it was a rolling scenic ride along the Delaware River in Delaware Water Gap National Park. My memory served me well. We arrived about 5:30 and began our journey. The road was in perfect condition, the traffic was non existant the scenery was beautiful and we zoomed. The whole ride, up to Millbrook Village and back was about 25 miles. I can't believe how quickly the miles rolled by. 25 Miles on a mountain bikewould take.... well take me a considerable amount of time. This place will be fantastic when the leaves change color. We gotta go back then and I'll bring a camera so I can share the view here.

Sounds great! I know that area well-having lived in Allentown for 11 years and spent considerable amounts of time in the Gap, Marshall's Creek and Stroudsburg.
