|What are BTP plates?

|BTP (Bike Tuning Parts) is a German aftermarket maker of exotic weight weenie parts and frames. They have 15 gram carbon bottle cages, and 5 gram Aramid bottle cages. How about carbon fiber chain rings and bolts? How about 7 gram seat post clamps? How about a pair of Ti dual pivot road brakes for 136 grams? A set of pedals for only 74 grams (OK, only one side clips)? Wow.
For Speedplay pedals, they make replacement inserts for the steel plates on the top and bottom of the pedal flats, and repalce the bolts with Ti or aluminium alloy. Altogether, the swapout on both pedals drops about 20 grams. Obviously, the aluminum is softer and will wear faster than the steel, but this product is for pure gram counting weight weenies. I'm waiting on my order now!
