design help needed - please.toomanybikes

With Winter on the way and kids back in school, their thoughts will soon turn to skiing and skating.

I want to put up a rack in the garage for two kids MTB's - both Y-frames, I'm thinking hanging them on above the other. This will get them out of the way and allow room for cars and trainers, etc.

Anybody got a design or drawing to save me some time? If I can I'm going to incorporate ski rack to get those damn things out my way as well.

Thanks

With 8 bikes in my garage, space is at a premium. I made this arrangement for next to nothing, and the concept is expandable to as many bikes as you need. Common sense, like screwing it into studs and measuring your bikes for spacing are assumed.

Thanks for that - I have someting similar for the adult bikes and on further thinking I think this will be best for the kids bikes too. I'll just put the hooks lower.

I have to move some other shelving to make it work but I think that is the better path anyway.

I like those scuff guards! I did not do that and was just yesterday thinking I may have to repaint the wall.

Spent about 10-15 minutes throwing this together in Photoshop - Graphic artist by profession (25 years). This won't be in the portfolio. :)
