|I have started riding my road bike again after a 10 year
hiatus and started feeling the same old knee pain - left
front bottom of the knee. While riding today, I noticed
wobble at the bottom to 1/4 back of my pedal stroke, usually
while going uphill.
Can someone in the SoCal (LA) area recommend a top notch
fitter? Not just seat height, set back, etc. But, someone
who can analyze knee-foot physiology, pedal stroke and
possibly determine if I need an orthotic or some such device.
Thanks to all,
tony (who wants to ride again;painfree)

|Depending on how close you live to San Diego, about the best is Dan Rock at B&L Bikes in Solana Beach. He's awesome at it.|

|He is the only "famous" bike fitter I've heard about.|

|I live in Big Bear so I am not real close to the San Diego
area. However, if he is that good, it might be worth
Did he get you fitted up? Did he make any special adjustments or recommendations?

|surf on over to www.slowtwitch.com and see if they have a list of guys who've been through their fitting seminar. I haven't looked for it, but I was at the TCSD meeting last month and the guy that runs slowtwitch said that there were a few guys in the Orange Co./LA area that he'd recommend.
There's Eileen Olson www.eroswheels.com in Orange Co too. She did me a few years ago.

|I worked at the shop before having to move. Dano is the best in SOCAL I believe. Mostly a Tri shop, but only Tri/road bikes there. He fits almost all the elite Tri/Road riders at one time or another. NEVER heard any gripes at all. I really believe that if you want it done right the first time, go to him. I used to ride up at Big Bear all the time. It's not that far, besides, a good day at the beach never really hurt anyone ;-) The shop is right on the 101 highway, in Solana Beach. The number is (858) 481-4148 and ask for Dano. He is the service manager. At least call, he may be able to point you to someone closer to you.|| |
