|Putting in big time on my new frame...one of the biggest differences between this and my former frame( went from 55TT to 54 TT, 3.5 lb frame to 2.4 lb frame), is that the front end feels light...it reacts to any changes in my upper body movement...ie: I am climbing and pulling on my bar, I can feel each arm stroke move the bike side to side...forces me to smooth things out, but I am used to the front end "staying put" ... not "over-reacting.
Stamding and powering up hills used to be "thoughtless", now I have to concentrate on not pulling the bars up too hard...
I use a 100 stem, changed it to 110 to see if that would help, trying to weight the front a tad, but then the reach was uncomfortable...
So, just a note about my progress...any input is welcome.

|Maybe you should check the TT length and the front-center dimension to see if you really have the geometry that you think you have.
A frame with a shorter top tube and shorter wheelbase should habe more weight on the front, not less (if you maintain the same KOP). The difference should be on the order of 1%, which is imperceptible.
A longer stem will not change the weight balance even a fraction of 1%. Weight balance is changed primarily by moving the saddle forward or backward. While you had the 110 stem on, you should have tried moving the saddle forward 1cm or a bit more and see if that was noticeable.
Personally, I think the all these reports of handling changes due to minor differences in weight balance are pure baloney. I've moved the saddle over a 3cm range with corresponding changes to the stem length to retain a comfortable reach and never noticed any significant difference.

|The tightness of the headset can effect how the bike handles.
A tight headset will act kinda like a steering damper and soften rider input a little. Switching to a looser headset can be noticable and have the effects you describe... increased reaction to bar input.

|Where did you come up with that one? If a headset is loose, it will rattle and quickly destroy the bearing races, but any headset can be adjusted too be tight or loose. If it's adjusted so tight that it interferes with free movement of the fork, then it will also not last long, with no grease between the bearing balls and races.
You response implies that the installation of a different headset might be a solution.
