2004 Specialiazed Allez Comp or Cannondale R1000??K-Man

I am looking to sell my 2002 Cannondale R900 and purchase either a 04 Specialized Allez Comp or 04 Cannondale R1000. Reason is only because with my LBS team discount it make economical sence for me to purchase a new bike every 2-3 years. Any pro/cons of one bike vs. the other? or is this a flip of the coin situation? Any thought, suggestion, recommendations appreciated.
Price will be pretty much the same with either bike
Specialized mfsr is $1630, Cannondale is probably $1800/2000??

Well, since both bikes are spec'd pretty similarly, I guess it comes down to which frame you like better. I was in the same situation as you earlier this summer and was comparing the Specialized Allez Comp and C'dale R1000. I rode both and went with the R1000 because I thought the CAAD7 frame was much better than the Specialized (IMHO). Of course, when I was laying the credit card down, I experienced a moment of weakness and upgraded to the R2000 and the full Ulti group and Mavic Ksyriums. ;-)

I guess you'll just have to get out there and ride both. Good luck.
Go Cannondale R1000 & full Ultegra [nm]bent_spoke

Just try both . You'll choose C'dale . So don't bother, just go directly for the R1000.
I would go with the Specializedstillridn

Take the extra money and upgrade something on the Bike. I have heard nothing but rave reviews on the Specialized. I have one on order. I hope it comes in before the leaves fall. Good Luck
