No Riding for me in Qatar!! Also, need to buy shades...Ride-Fly

Howdy all. It's been a long time since I've posted anything on this board (or any other for that matter.) I've been busy flying Hercs for the USAF (I'm a CA Air Guard guy-1 weekend a month my a$$!! :^o) out of Qatar into the Sandbox (A-stan, P-stan, and Iraq.) It's a blast flying tactical approaches/maneuvers into hostile country. We are occasionally getting shot at by small arms fire and manpads (shoulder launched SAMs.) It happens more often than it is ever reported, but that is a good thing. Don't want to alarm the loved ones, you know.
Anyhow, just wanted to say I miss riding my bike in the Santa Monicas and chatting with all you bubbas on this board!!! BTW, does anyone know the best place to get sunglasses on the web?? I broke my Brikos on the way over here. I'm thinking about the Rudy Projects Rydeons- anyone have any experience with these?? Thanks all, and do me a favor...enjoy every minute of your ride!!! Ride ON!!!

requesting permission to do a fly-bye

all I can say about the glasses is check the review section. I cant find it anymore, but there is a site with a name similar to - www.theyestore.com that had the best deals.

I have had good experiences with e-rudy.com for Rudy Project stuff. I, too, am interested in the Rydeons -- I like my Kerosenes, but after three years of use, I would like to get a new pair of glasses.

Good luck with your work and a safe return home. I may not agree with the decisionmaking process that got you to where you are, but I have a great deal of respect for those of you who are out there in the "sandbox." My best wishes and prayers are with you.

Ride-fly,

I just wanted to thank you for "Playing in the sandbox" so that my 2 year old has the freedom to go out and play in his sandbox.

Regardless of what you hear in the worthless media, your efforts are appreciated.

Be safe over there!

I'll put in a few extra miles for ya.
You guys are heros - get home safely and soon! nmBacco
