Is it common to develop pimple like rashes from your saddle while riding? I noticed it early in today's ride. It kept getting worse I rode more. When I went to examine the area, it is a red patch of skin with a pimple or boil like area. It was very uncomfortable riding with it.

Do you have a shower or bath tub and a washing machine. Wash yourself and your shorts. You might need to get a prescription if it doesn't clear up by washing.

Seek a qualified doctor immediately!Spoiler

I had similar symptoms. I saw a doctor and it turned out to be a combination of scurvey and mange.
A week earlier, I was wrestling with my pet St. Bernard in a pool of warm baby oil, nude.
Long story short, I got the vet to prescribe the same meds to both me and my dog at a big discount. If I had waited another week, I'd be six feet under.
If you truly care about your health as you say, you'll high-tail it to the ER.

Don't be discouraged. Think how your hands work and how they you can/will develop callouses on your palms after working hard. You may get blisters on your hands at first but then you develop callouses and it never happens again. Your attempts are great and do not let the guys make you give up here. I cannot say it any simpler than to say that you must keep riding and your body will get used to it. Your body will adapt and it is not a hospital thing so do not worry about that. Congratulations on your efforts!

Diaper rash at your age?...asphalt assault

Diaper rash is what it amounts to. Hit the infant section at your local pharmacy and pick up some A&D ointment and apply...or have a close friend apply...to the affected area.

I am bikeholio....I need A&D for my bung hole!...heh, my 13 year old shot orange soda out his nose when I said that:^)

Keep very dry, try giving up underwear. I was also prescribed fucidic acid, but the greasy cream may inhibit drying. I've used hydrogen peroxide with success.

Soak in a hot bath will bring the boil to a head or burst it. This is a good thing, believe me.
Why don't you post a picture of that bike for usKristin

I've never seen a recumbant with a saddle before.
