These guys are Sand Hill Cranes. They're a proteced species, and seem to know it... it's like they dare you to hit them.
If you hit one, as big as they are...they might hit back!...nmrwbadley

The Canadian Geese are the same way. Up here in Minnesota, they're in their V's and heading your way. Your turn to "enjoy" them.

A lot of them spend their summers here because of all the corn. If you ride anywhere near water and grasslands, the roads are covered in goose crap.
The only legal way to get rid of them, is to shake their eggs, when they are nesting. Don't get caught, they can fly faster than you can ride.

You might actually be on to something with your assertion that they seem to know it. Researchers have found that animals that are the target of poachers in heavily poached areas in Africa tend to end up being ultra-aggressive (natural selection, I guess).
Where in Florida are you? NMDERICK
