|Anyone tried the Selle Italia SLK saddle?||DERICK|

|I'm considering giving this a try. Most of my saddle problems seem to involve my perenial area. I've recently tried:
*Fizik Allante. Great on the sit bones but bad on the perenial. Overall nice saddle, just not for me.
*Selle Italia SLR XP. Pretty good but not great. The flat shape is nice.
*WTB Rocket V. Makes me numb.
Too many others to mention but these are the most recent.
If any one has experience with the SLK I would like to hear it.
I'm 5'9" and about 140 pounds.

|I've tried several saddles and if it doesn't have the split in the center I have problems with numbness. I've though about the Fizik, but after hearing you had problems I'm having second thoughts. Please send me an email with more details on the Fiziks. firstname.lastname@example.org
Are you wearing good biking shorts, Pearl Izumi, Assos, etc. because with your weight you shouldn't have problems.
Unlike me 6'1, 190. I'm riding the slr xp, after 75 miles it gets unbearable. Thanks

|I'm using Pearl Izumi shorts.
The Alante is a very nice saddle. It supports my sit bones perfectly and absorbs road shock. The only problem is my perenial area gets very uncomfortable. If it had a slightly flatter nose with a cut out it would be perfect. Lots of people seem to love it but it's not for me.
I also had a Fizik Pave from 2000 and it was like sitting on a pave. A real torture device.

|Have you checked out one of the mesh saddles from Saddleco? I tried it and it didn't work well for me, but I saw a couple of relatively little guys on them on a century yesterday and both of them really, really, really like them a LOT. The mesh has a whole lot of give, which put me too much on the frame (which has NO give), but with your build this might be worth a try. One of the guys I asked about has been riding for 20 years and says its the first saddle he's been really comfortable on.
May be worth a try.
