|I'm in my first season of Road Biking (at 47) and am having a great time. |
I'd like to put in some serious off season work on a trainer. A Cat 3 pal of mine recomended the Cyclops Fluid 2. A pricey bugger!

|I've had a CycleOps for about 3-4 years now and have no problems w/ it...It's got a great road feel...I highly recommend the Cyclops Fluid2, it's worth the $$$...|

|I've had a Blackburn Fluid for over a year, and the shop I got it from has had zero trouble with all the ones they've sold, and have stopped carrying...other fluid trainers. It's got a great, smooth feel, pretty damn hard too. And I got it for $230! wich is way less than the Cyclops|

|I've had the fluid 2 for two years also w/ no problems. Call around to LBS's, I got mine on clearance at performance for $100. I think before the next years model comes out, just like other products, they have to make the old ones move.
Good luck guarding off boredom while on it. Great exercise, but you think of 1.4 million better things to do every minute on the trainer!

Avtually, a good way to deal with the boredom is to listen to the body. Leg pain, lungs, heart etc. The trick is to let go of all the "stories" that arise out of the body sensations. Example: "man, my quads are toast! I'd better slow down!"
Try letting go of that story and continuing on at the same pace for awhile longer. Kind of a Bhuddist practice!
