Trying to decide between the sloping (5 cm total) and standard geometry of a Fondreist. The company says they ride the same. Any insights?

All things being equal, you would have a lower stand-over height on the sloping frame and maybe a little less weight due to the shortness of the tube. It comes down to what you want to ride.

I went from a Trek, standard geometery, to a Litespeed Ghisallo. Getting a proper fit took quite a while. But the ride sems much quicker. And of course the weight is much less.
