|I'll be going to Paris over Columbus weeekend and was wondering if there were any good cycling shops to go to? I'm actually looking for a Coppi (KP1) bike frame that everyone here (USA) doesn't seem to have. I know it's an Italian frame, but thought maybe some bike shop in Paris may have one. ON the other hand any of you know of other European mail orders companies that also sell frames? The only one I know of is totalcycling.com. Looks like saddlesores.net went out of business.|

|Not sure what luck you'll have with the Coppi but Cycles Laurent is a nice shop. It is on 9 Avenue Voltaire 75011 Use Place de la Republique as landmark. I believe Oberkampf or Republique are close metro stops.
Second is smaller place run by elderly ladies. Near the Arc de Triomphe the road is and extension of Champs past the Arc
13 Ave de la Grande Armee
Metro: Argentine or Charles de Gaulle Etoile

|not sure about the spelling though. It's the only bike shop I saw in paris. This however was way back in 1997. My wife and I spent a week walking around paris and in my desperation to find a bike shop, picked up velo mag(even though its in french) and looked up the shop. most advertised shops are located outside paris. I remember taking the metro to get there. The bikeshop's name is the same as the street/station... strausburg. If you got the map, its located upper middle right of paris. They got great selections, mercxk, look, fondriest, totally a pro shop in my opinion. have a nice trip!|

Search on "bicyclette" in paris. Or "velo" or "bicycle" or the brand you are looking for. It has addresses, maps, phone numbers and even pictures of the storefront. We used it a lot looking for restaurants and bakeries...
