Hit a little close to home this time...OPUSsum

A cyclist riding along the same road that I use on my local training rides was almost killed. A car pulled over in front of him, while he passed the car (too close) they opened the door sending him over the bars of his bike. As he lay in pain they loaded his bike in their car. To finish him off the beat him with a metal pole and left him to die.

Luckily someone found him and brought him to the hospital. Lucky to be alive he remains in critical condition.

Hits to close to home for me...

Do authorities suspect theft as the motive or that these cretins were road raging an took the bike as an afterthought?

Do you have a link to news coverage, if there was any?
