Help selecting bibs(5 posts)

Help selecting bibslazy8
Aug 29, 2003 5:47 AM
I would like to make the switch from shorts to bibs. I've tried on 2 pair and they both seem to be a little "short" for me (tight in the crotch and shoulders). I've got a long torso and short legs. Are there any manufacturers out there that make bibs for my type of build or are they all pretty much the same. From my experience with shorts the fit seems to be all over the map between manufacturers.

Thanks in advance

My proportions are like yours. I'd recommend the Santini Twist Gel bibs which are roomier on top and have stretchy straps (I'm 6' tall, 30" riding inseam and wear a Large). In addition, the gel pad is the most comfortable I've ever had. They can be had for about $85 at Bulltek Sports (I think?).

Just make sure you get the pro-cut model. They're a couple of CMs shorter in the leg than standard Santini shorts and work better for guys with shorter legs.
Never used them, but the name makes me cringe nmPdxMark

I have a long torsoed build as well. Performance bibs have worked well for me.
