...wireless speedo and cadence. The pick-up for the speedometer is integrated into the QR.

Now that's slick - no more wires or finicky wireless. Nice.

that's the cadence sensor. afterall, if the speed sensor is in the QR, then there would be no need for the fork mount sensor.

BTW- What a neat idea! My only concern would be durability. A lot of people are guerrillas when it comes to quick releases.
It looks like Mavic teamed up with Polar on this one...biknben

The piece on the right is nearly identical to the speed and cadence sensors of the Polar S series HRMs. If that's the cadence sensor, it will be mounted to the down tube or seat tube. A magnet will be attached to the crank arm in order to get the cadence.

Not sure when as it was just introduced at the EuroBike show which opened yesterday in Germany. Velonews also has something about it on their website with a price estimate of $99 for just the speedo and $125 with cadence.

IF it is, I'd stay away. That computer was the biggest POS I have ever owned. The mektronics shifted great, but the computer with it was a LARGE PITA.
