well not too bling, bling since i didn't pay $3K+ but it's still shiney since it's not loaded with all that plast... i mean carbon stuff, except the fork.

thanks to folks who answered the many questions i had a couple months back.

this week i got my bike and it's a world of difference over my old bike.

it's a custom curtlo frame. check out those brazed fillets. nice and smooooth.

03 DA kit, which i think is much nicer looking then the 04, except steering and seating and pedals.

the whole bike comes in at around 19-20lbs with saddlepack filled with tube, levers and 2-CO2s on my tanita scale.

this rides so much smoother and 'softer' then my old bike. but it's not squishy either. much bigger difference then i imagined it would be. it's also very quiet. no rattles, clicks, squeals, nothing. just the sound of rubber on the road. sweet.

i hope to enjoy many, many miles on it.

Did you get the std road tubing, or the S3 tubing?

What's the difference?

I looked at the website. The stuff looks real good, the prices seem reasonable, both for the frames and the parts kits.

How long was the wait? Did you get standard geometry, or did you go full custom?

i bought one of his single speeds a couple years ago with the curved stays and thought it was the best mtb i've ever ridden that i decided to go back for more when it was time to get a new road bike.

I got the curved stays on the road bike too. i think that really adds to the 'soft' ride i was mentioning earlier.

it's made with TT OX Platinum. I think to go with the S-3 tubing was a couple hundred bucks more. Not really worth it to me for a variety of reasons. I talked with him at some length about it.

the wait was about 2 months. I ordered it mid/late-June and it was shipped the beginning of last week. took about a week to get it in the mail.

he only does full custom. based on my dimensions and what I liked/didn't like on my then current ride and the kind of ride i was looking for he worked the numbers and this is what i got. it fits perfect and rides even better.
