Less than 2 weeks ago I broke my Freeride frame, well...split the head tube. I sent the frame back as per K2's request and today they called saying they would give me a new frame. They do not offer the same frame so they upgraded at no charge to the Tirade 5.0. 6 inches of boing.

I think most components will transfer over. My 27.2 seatpost will not work with the 31.6 seattube. My bottom pull front deraileur will not work with the top pull design, and I don't know if my 72mm BB will work ( I could put a 2mm spacer on the right, right?).

Again, I know this is a road site, but I have 2 road bikes, if that counts.

You can actually knock the cups off a Shimano BB and swap them out with the cups from a 68mm BB if you need to. The best way is to put it in a vise and tap the spindle with a rubber mallet. If that helps ya....
