Just wondering if anyone on the board rides in my area or knows of any club rides around? I'm thinking about checking out pequot cycle club, but I fear I'm still to fat and slow ;). I usually either commute to work 2x week which is 54 miles round trip. It takes me about 1.7 hours each way or I ride after work 3-4 times a week about 30 miles which takes me a little under 2 hrs probably about 1.75 hours or so. Is that a reasonable pace to ride with a group?

Pequot is an OK group. www.pequotcyclists.com or something like that. They used to have Pizza rides on wed. nights. Mystic has group rides on Tuesday (hammerfest) and Sunday AM (Slower pace). Rose City has some grooup rides too; call Mickey and ask.

Your commute is a respectable day. I'm only 7.5miles from work one way and have to get creative about it when I commute.

Send me an email to pitt83atyahoodotcom and maybe we could hook up for one?

I work and run in Mystic, and never fail to see a riding group on River Road hammering by. I believe they are out of Mystic Cycle. I believe Pfizer also has a club. Southeastern CT has some great rides especially following the shoreline from New London to Old Lyme, then up RT 156 through Hamburg for some hills. Good Luck
