Does anyone know of bicycle maintenance/repair classes that are held in the N. Virginia area?

REI holds maintenance/repair classes fairly regularly.

If there are upcoming events then they can be found on www.rei.com when looking up the store (assuming the store manager is "with-it").

pick up any bicycle maintenance book. Spend a rainy saturday completely dis-assembling your bike and then re-assembling.

Plan on a whole day if you dont have a complete (bicycle) tool kit because you'll probably be running to the LBS once or twice to pick up the proper tools (the maintenance book will provide the generic tools, you may need to adjust based upon brand of component, etc).

Best saturday you'll ever spend; Learn a lot about your bike, gain confidence, and acquire EVERY tool you'll ever need for your bike.
