|So I have used them for over a year and I like the fact that I have got maybe one or two flats in that time.
So I was looking at the reviews of the conti gatorskins, thinking that these would be a good alternative to using the liners. The reviews are all over the place, hard to make a choice and take a chance on those reviews.
So is there a tire that has puncture resistance but also has reasonable performance ?
I would say I do mostly fast recreational rides.

|I've had good luck so far with Conti GP 4 Seasons. They have a good balnce of feel and traction along with a protective Duraskin belt.Only one flat this year in about 2000 miles. They are wearing very well also.Still alot of tread to them.I've got good performance from Vreds Fortezza road also but only have about 600 miles on them.No flats yet and I've put them through some glass.|

|Specialized Armadillos. No flats in 5200 miles this year. I have ridden over broken beer bottles (I commute in pre dawn hours) and just keep going. They are truly bomb proof BUT... The handling is terrible on gravel, rain. ice, snow etc. cornering can be an adventure!|| |
