lets be honest, all the materials work fine. We could quibble bout this and that, but you'll go fastest on the one that looks nice enough for you to want to ride on it. Then you ride lots. Then you go faster. And as a bonus you've got a nice looking bike.
Get aero bars, wheels and a good frame of mind.MB1

Unless you have the strength to go faster than 1 hour for 40k it is probably not worth spending much on a dedicated TT bike. With your $500 budget there aren't many frames out there to choose from anyway.

Spent the cash on training, aero bars and a good set of wheels.

You acn pick up a used GT Aero Edge for $200-$350. These are almost as aero as the GT superbike, Hooker, or Cervelos at a reasonable cost. Despite what some might tell you, having a dedicated TT bike with a dialed in position you can train on weekly is a great advantage.

I just check out the Stealth, the frame looks really nice, might consider that, I did a quick search for the GT Edge Aero which someone else reccommended, didnt find any decent deals on it, Thanks for all the replies.... Anyone else got any frames in mind??? Thanks for the feedback..

go to chucksbikes.com and build something like this. Then, take the $300.00 and buy an aero bar and a used Zipp 440 front wheel...

But if you want to blow the $5 on a frame, I like the stealth too.
