| I am so bummed | PaulCL Aug 23, 2003 12:38 PM | | This is the first weekend in months that it hasn't rained or been 90 degrees with 90% humidity. Why am I bummed? My wife is out of town - so no riding for me. I guess it wouldn't be OK to leave an 8 & 4 year old home alone for five hours, huh??
Screw it...I'll drink beer instead! My goal for the weekend: finish that six pack of Bass Ale I bought yesterday. That's a noble goal.
Enjoy riding this weekend. Post some pictures so at least I can get a feel for riding. Paul |

I'm shocked.
Here, have some Mark instead. |
| Drinking alone | PaulCL Aug 24, 2003 8:42 AM | | Since I'm alone, I thought I'd stick to British beer. Makers' Mark makes me do stupid human tricks.
Yup...our best weather is coming. This coming Saturday, I'm planning to do a club century, then another the middle of September, then a team TT the first weekend of November.
Instead of riding, I just came back from a 4 mile run with a neighbor. Jeez does running hurt. |
| I went out at 7 for 30 miles through | OldEdScott Aug 24, 2003 9:13 AM | | a soft Kentucky morning in late August. The mist was on the knobs. Saw a doe with a spotted fawn in Gene's Bottom, and a heron lift ungainly and beautiful off Floyd's Fork. You missed it, my man. But next weekend, I'm sure, be be even lovelier. |
| you're an underachiever | JS Haiku Shop Aug 25, 2003 5:17 AM | | if there are still any left from the bass 6-pack purchased yesterday, you have a drinking problem. |
