suggestions for lite but affordable tires and saddlecapt pearl

In my ongoing quest to become one of "you people", I find that my dry rotting Michelins are in need of replacement, as is my aged carbon fibre torture device (actually, it's fairly comfortable, but that doesn't make for good copy).

Suggestions? I'm training for a triathlon and would like to be able to do some group rides as well. This is going on an ~5 yr old aluminum GT with downtube shifters, so you can see where I currently stand. I'd like to keep the tires and saddle ~$100 (yeah, I'm on a tight budget - gotta baby on the way and Daddy's got to get his toys in order before the Blessed Event). Last years model is more than OK by me.

Thanks All,
