|Specifically the KG486. So far Totalcycling has the best price I can find.
Would rather buy from a U.S. source but they all want the same exact list price.

|I was at the LBS today and they were selling Looks for well below Excel and other official online prices... I know that is the LAST place some of you look (no pun), but sometimes I'm surprised.|

Look is beefing up their distribution in the US. More and more shops are carrying them. Rumour has it they will be matching Trek's warranty.
When I purchased mine, there were no built Looks to test ride, so I had to ride the dealer rep's. Now the shop had several Looks already built- and they still had all sorts of bare framesets...

|Why not total cycling? |
Mike & Adrian were great when I got my 381i from them.
They not only sold me the Kelme 381i for about 1/2 of what they wanted in the States but they got it to me in 5 days.
Ireland to Hawaii 5 days!! Man many US stores take longer to send me small parts than that.
Seriously price & service? I think it would be tough to do better than TC.

|Can anyone compare the 461 to 361 ? Is it worth the extra $400 ?|

|I ride a 361 and have no issues. The 461 is alittle stiffer due to oversized tubing. If you're not a big rider, probably won't gain much in the difference. At 146 lbs, I could leap upon the TT from a highrise building and not flex the thing! The only other real difference is the seat tube of the 461 accepts 27.2mm, providing more seatpost choices.|

|You are paying for the most current model... Look is notorious for this scheme.|

|I bought 2 KG461's. One for me and my brother-in-law. Great deal ($2300 each shipped), great service. Bikes came very well boxed. No problems since we purchased them 4 months ago. Have about 1000 miles on them and have never had to make any adjustments. I would highly recommend Excel.

|I also bought a Look 381 from Totalcycling. I had the bike in a couple days and they were great to deal with. And the price was well below what they were selling for here in the US.|

|I ordered my mike in Aug 2002 and got it in March '03. I wanted the 361 but got the 461 since I'm 230lbs and 6'4 thinking (correctly) the 461 was better for us big fellas. I was still open to the 361 but none could be found and none would be produced until the '03 run. As I was told by my LBS, LOOK builds in size runs staring with the most popular middle sizes and with the highest models. Therefore, the 361 will be last on the list and middle sizes made first since it's their leat expensive frame. Large or small sizes of these are tough to get.
If you can find it now, buy it now. The $100 will be inconsequential when you've got a great ride for the fall season.
PS: I love my 461. Really agile. 4000 miles this year and nothing but simple maintainence on the drivetrain. EC-70 seatpost broke (poor manufacturing) but the Deda blackstick has been a flawless replacement. The blue isn't as advertized. More like the A3.1 pedal than the color shown on their website. The white is super nice.
