|During longer rides my toes start to hurt. it feels like the blood is being trapped in them and when it gets very bad it feels like they want to explode and are very warm.
what could this be and what can I do.

|I have the same problem because I'm on the outer edge of a size 50, the biggest shoes you can find if you don't want to spend $190 for Sidis. Check the fit of your shoes to be sure there's room up there in the toe box. It might (but probably won't) help to lace either tighter or looser, so your foot doesn't slide up or so the blood can flow more easily.
For a quick check, if you have some old platform or toeclip pedals around, try riding in tennis shoes or running shoes that have roomy toes. If you don't have the same problem, that's probably the trouble.

|I've had this a couple of times. Just be sure to start out wearing them loose. Your feet will compensate in no time.
BTW, do they feel tight when you put them on? If so, they could be the wrong size...
