Anyone ever open a dos box while on this page & type netstat?
This is what you will see.....All of these just to view this one page? Also when first connecting I see it sends all kind of info out to requests from audio review etc.
Can anyone shed some light on this activity? Not so bad at work where I have a DSL but at home on a dialup this makes for a sluggish connection.

I have dial-up also. Flash junk takes up a lot of time. Someone hipped me to http://www.noflash.bbshare.com. This page and pages like theonion.com and nytimes.com load more than twice as fast while using the program.

Just go to Start>Programs>MS-DOS Prompt
Or if you have WIN XP or ME or 2000 It is called command prompt now

Yes I use a fast browser too but I think it is all the doubleclick ads on this site. Always requesting info from our computers looking for our browse habits etc.
I am not positive but I believe double click is a data/habit/Email marketing collection type of biz.

That is your email or just your ISP?
The rest is this site.
But if you hit netstat while refreshing this page you will see much more activity
