Any recommendations for manufacturers who make smaller stock women's bikes? Not sure of the size yet, but probably something like 47cm or so. She's about 5'2". Don't want to spend a mint on custom as this is her first road bike, but would like to get something that fits.

Trek WSD's come in Aluminum and carbon fiber (OCLV). Their 47cm and smaller WSD's have 650mm wheels. Just got my wife a 5200 WSD in 47cm, she loves it and I reap the benefit. The smaller wheels has the same effect as reducing the size of the chain rings and they are lighter, much better for climbing. The wife's bike also came with adjustable brake lever reach. Finding one to look at can be a problem.
