Sidi adapter question(2 posts)

Sidi adapter questionlemmy999

Sidi claims you need an adapter (for their road shoes) for SPD, SPD-R and Time cleats. But you don't need an adapter for Look right? So the Time Impact cleats shouldn't need an adapter since they are compatible with Look shoes. But what about SPD-SL cleats? Will I need the SPD or SPD-R adapter, or maybe some other adapter? Thanks.

You probably can get by without one, but seeing that the LOOK plate comes with the shoe, there's really no reason not to use it. Impact, SPD-SL and Look all use the same bolt pattern, so the look adaptor works for all 3.

I would think that if you don't use the adaptor, it would be hard to get the cleat to sit on the shoe properly aligned.
