Not sure if I need a small or medium? I ride a 53cm Bianchi XL Boron (sloping top tube). Anybody familiar with both these bikes that could point me toward the small or medium? Local shop doesn't have one so riding them isn't an option.

I checked the geometry charts on the web and assuming I was looking at the right stats the Small has the same top tube length and seat tube angle as your bike.

for some reason this is in inches...

Compare the "virtual" (a line parallel to the ground {or really the dropouts}) top tube lengths on both bikes and let that guide your choice between small and medium.

I ride 53cm frames measured center to center and got the medium, it fits just fine. I don't know how Bianchi measures their sloping frames these days.

If you purchase the carbon seatpost with the bike you need to be real accurate on the measurement, there is not that much up and down adjustment.
