The ride and wedding were great. Haven't gotten the pictures developed yet so it will be a day or two before I can post the ride. It was both harder and easier than I expected. The climb after Naalehu is a bear. Only 1500 feet but pretty steep. I'd estimate parts were 10% or more with an average of 7-8% for the climb. There were good climbs between there and Kailua too. The 4%, 20 mile climb from Kea'au to Volcano was pretty easy but caught some rain near the top and the jacket came in handy. There's lots more to talk about but I'll leave it for the pictures.

Glad to hear you made it & liked it.
Yes that climb from Naalehu to the South Point road is a bit tough isn't it?
I wondered about you because on that day I rode down the chain of craters in Volcano & I know when I got back to the top it was a little wet & I wondered how you made out.
Well Congrats & glad you made it safely back.
Aloha!
